The Front Nine

Think about it this way: if you have been using a particular tool, say, a paper planner, to make progress on things for hours on end and then you decide to adopt a digital planner instead, your new goal is to make progress on becoming more adept with that tool so you can achieve greater results than you did with the paper planner. If that isn’t what you want to be doing at that time, then stick with the paper planner until you can devote time to learning about the digital planner.

Take on the new tool and spend time mastering it or use the older tool and make progress with it.

For example, on Fridays I don’t do much “heavy lifting” at all. I stick to simple tasks that require little to no mental energy to complete, such as email and organizing all of my tasks.
